Suitable formatting of news cards / events cards

News cards and Events cards should be formatted nicely. E.g., such that

on wide screens 3 news + 3 events should be side-by-side with equal height
on mobile displays they should stacked on top of each other (could then be unequal height to save scrolling)
- in that case, news may be reduced to 2 (acc to VC 2021-04-14)
intermediate widths should transform smoothly; currently sometimes the cards stack on top of each other when slowly changing window width.
