Submodule update for templates?

Just noticed the symbolic links to the templates submodules are not automatically updated: the poster has not been updated to the new poster* although the link is correct. There shouldn't be a need to manually force the sync, right? What am I missing?

*which means that the poster linked in the Media & outreach materials page is not up-to-date.
