Broken URL on GitLab Pages when navigating to blog page

There is a difference between navigating to blog page on GitLab Pages. On GitLab Pages the URL is build as follows:

http://hifis.pages.hzdr.de/software.hifis.netblog/index.html

Note the missing slash before "blog" which causes a "404 - Not Found" response.
