Revisit Mathjax 3 and Kramdown compatibility

Currently, a workaround is necessary to make Mathjax 3 work together with Kramdown. See assets/js/mathjax.js#L5-23 and the corresponding post.

Revisit the current state to see, if this workaround is still required or can safely be removed.
