I do not think we need to define computer software, computer program and application, however, they could be synonyms for executable software

I think its not that easy, but setting these as synonyms is what - i agree - needs to be done.

I propose the following:

• computer program set as exact synonym of program
• computer software set as narrow synonym of executable software
• application set as broad synonym of application software

i am not sure if and where we put "utilities" such as e.g. drivers etc. i thought keeping it as "related" might leave some wiggle room in order to also consider those as "computer software".

Another route we could go is to put 'computer software' as an exact synonym of software

it could be a narrow synonym because there is software that is not written for computers, such as software for machines and calculators

we decided:

• computer program set as narrow synonym of program
• computer software set as narrow synonym of software
• application set as broad synonym of application software

This applies synonymy in a consistent way within this semantic cluster. The discussed terms at the same time are not significantly different from already established classes, which is why no new classes are generated.
