Allow usage of the prod version without VPN

Currently we have the need to use VPN in order to get a GFZ/UFZ/... ip address to use sensors.gfz-potsdam.de. While it is possible to work with it, it makes it harder then necessary to work with the SMS in the field.

Without VPN it would be way easier to use it also from a mobile device for example.

So all in all we want to remove the need for the vpn.
