Metadata of datasets
Within this user story, we want to talk about
- What is the necessary metadata for model runs
- and how can it be inserted
We aim to let the user manually specify metadata for the model run, but also implement a parsing of ISO-19115 conform xml-files, e.g. through a catalog-system such as Geonetwork or from a THREDDS-Server.
Within our first meeting, the developer team makes an initial proposal for meta data fields and the structure in the database of the model data explorer. We will also discuss how these metadata information are encoded within the CF-Conventions, and the ISO-19115 standard. After this meeting, the developer team creates a mapping from metadata fields in CF-Conventions and ISO-19115 and refines the database structure.
The outcomes of this user story will be
- the database structure for the metadata
- a mapping from CF-Conventions and ISO-19115 to the database fields
