Resolve "Compability v23.x"

ping @christopher.kraemmer: Tests were failing when using the GEOMAR Elements instance since we recently had a version upgrade. I had to fix two functions and set elements-sdk v23.x as requirement. The changes should hopefully be backwards compatible with your Elements instance. If you experience any problems please let me know.
