[new term] incident (electron) beam
Came across 2-gram term "incident beam" in automated n-gram analysis of EM textbooks. For example, see:
- "Various diffraction patterns are obtained, as determined by the incident beam energy, scattering geometry, and sample."
- "Only these close to the incident beam within a small angle ..."
- The pattern allows an accurate determination of crystal orientation and the incident beam direction ..."
Also see https://www.globalsino.com/EM/page3883.html
- "The incident electron beam can be considered as made of a set of incident rays within an incident cone."
