MR566 - cherry-pick trivial fragments

This MR is to pre-empt all trivial content and/or content that needs no review from cloud/software clusters or other cloud cluster stakeholders

The purpose is to de-clutter !566 (merged) as much as possible to facilitate review on actual review-needing content (reducing diffs after merging this one to master).
