Pointing out the overall result of this question it seems to be mostly the case that the Cloud service choice is restricted on the highest organizational level, the Helmholtz centre or department. As a high level decision, Cloud services are not chosen quick-and-dirty for short usage but as decisions take place on higher organizational levels they need to fit longterm usage, be reliable and high quality. From HIFIS viewpoint we can either accept that Cloud services are chosen like this or we can try to change minds and shift the choice to lower organizational levels like teams or project groups.
Pointing out the overall result of this question it seems to be mostly the case that the Cloud service choice is restricted on the highest organizational level, the Helmholtz centre or department. From HIFIS viewpoint this needs to be considered when further promoting and distributing cloud services in Helmholtz.
With respect to the beforementioned findings, it may remain of interest to extract whether this picture changes for experienced (6+ years of Helmholtz employment) users.
