Hi all contributors, we are coming closer to actually publishing the 1st release of HDO ontology.

Today we discussed which license to use in order to publish the ontology and discussed using CC-BY-4.0 (i.e. as open as possible) - is there any reason we should not use this but anther license? Please respond in issue until June 30th if there are reasons for using another license!

What other licences did you discuss? What are the arguments against CC-0?

cc-by was suggested in order to ensure attribution of the work. cc-by-4.0 is the most open license frequently used for academic work including ontologies

please read the issue: if you want another (CC-0) license to be used, please provide reasoning for that.

I also prefer CC-BY-4.0 for the same reason.
