NEW FEATURE: Add mask formatoption

This commit adds a new formatoption that allows to mask the data based on a mask that can either be in the dataset or in a separate file

  • Tests added (for all bug fixes or enhancements)
  • Tests passed (for all non-documentation changes)
  • Fully documented, including CHANGELOG.rst for all changes
