prevent incorrect linking with ROBIS
The form "ROBIS Identifier" of the metadata query for a new RODARE entry is unfortunately incorrectly used to enter the ROBIS Publication ID there. In this case, the entering person gets the metadata imported from ROBIS. But unfortunately the filling of the form with the ID leads to an incorrect link.
The RODARE research data entry is published directly and linked to the ROBIS publication entry. There is no registration of a new ROBIS research data entry. Theoretically, the research data is now archived even without an equivalent ROBIS research data entry, but the system does not recognize this.
So I have to create a ROBSI research data entry first, link it to the RODARE data set and then repair the relation publication/research data set in ROBIS as administrator.
The ROBIS Identifier only works if there is a research data entry in ROBIS that can be linked to.
Suggestion: Either we no longer offer the option of importing metadata, which is stupid for all those who first create a ROBIS entry for their research data and then create the appropriate RODARE entry afterwards.
But it would be easier to add a warning to the description for the ROBIS Identifier form. What do you think about this?
