link length impairs page width scaling
from user feedback:
-
clicked on a term (‘Pole piece’) to see the full entry. As I don’t have my window maximised (so I can see this doc at the same time!) the width has caused the definition to be put below the left sidebar (with the letter/number filters), which was completely off the bottom of the screen, so I just saw the side bar and a blank space. Can this be set to scroll to the top of the entry, regardless of where it shows on the page? This does not happen with every entry, and does not seem to be related to the length of the term. It does also happen when clicking a letter/number that has no entries (so 9 or Z, for example) - the explanation that there are no entries appears under the sidebar. So it may nt be about scrolling, but instead stopping this behaviour on some pages.
sustainable solution:
- build lookup table for linked resources
- show text label from lookup table instead of full link
