Martin T can help to re-use css (fragments) for our page. Technically this should be doable + license-wise he'll check with the designer (but expects no problems)
Uwe Jandt (DESY, HIFIS)changed title from Take over fonts and colors from (new) helmholtz.de, where appropriate to Clean fonts, possibly take over fonts and colors from (new) helmholtz.de, where appropriate

I remember that I discussed this already with @frust45 and we found that Roboto was a pretty good match. It is also licensed as Apache v2. which should be fine for our use case.
Another option we considered was the Noto Sans - family for its wide support of various languages and writing systems, glyphs and characters. It could really help to unify the look of the webpage and resolve the dependency on fontawesome
(symbols,
more symbols,
math symbols
)
Ich finde die Roboto in der großen Überschrift schöner, aber auf den Buttons sehr eng, da überlege ich, ob das schlecht lesbar ist, etwa mit beeinträchtigten Sehfähigkeiten.
Daher eher pro Noto Sans.
When I click the Noto Sans Display-Link, I get a Serifenschrift that looks really ugly... guess there's something wrong which might indicate a problem for other users as well?
What Lisa sees is the browsers replacement font for missing fonts. So the website is not properly delivering the font to the user. (I think Uwe figured that out already)
@lisa.klaffki there was an error, does it work better now for you? On some Linuxy systems, this font is auto-replaced by already pre-installed Noto Sans Display ... so one does not even recognize if there is an error...
Yes, now I get the right font. Thanks @erxleb87 for the explicit explanation, I was thinking "something in this area" but couldn't pinpoint it in my mind.
There was a draft of the new HIFIS logo, but with a lot of changes: The line was removed, the font changes, the threeliner turned into a two-liner.... and also the colors were modified a lot. I think that version of the logo was unacceptable.
I agree to Fredo. The light blue is to shocking to me. It's not light enough.
If you have a look at https://www.helmholtz.de/ landing page, they do not use the light blue anywhere. Instead, you can see some kind of light green (just as dubious as the light blue). And dark green is use for the claim. (bottom line of the page)
Maximal-Kompromiss:
Schriftfarbe und Form Übernahme neues CD
Wolke bleibt blau / grün
Balken entfernen
Text optional zwei / dreizeilig. Ich befürworte zwei Zeilen, wenn Platz ist.
Oder Entwicklung eines Minimal-Kompromiss:
Schriftfarbe und Form bleiben
Wolke bleibt blau / grün
Balken entfernen
Text optional zwei / dreizeilig.
