On November 11th, 2022, Helmholtz Codebase GitLab will be available under a
new domain
<a href="https://codebase.helmholtz.cloud">https://codebase.helmholtz.cloud</a>.
The previous domain
<a href="https://gitlab.hzdr.de">https://gitlab.hzdr.de</a>
will redirect to this new domain.
Nothing else changes for the users.

## The New Domain
The Helmholtz GitLab has already been referred to as the **Helmholtz Codebase**
for quite a while now.
First, we made it available under a secondary domain.
Now, we decided to swap these domains and make Helmholtz Codebase Gitlab
available under the new primary domain
[https://codebase.helmholtz.cloud](https://codebase.helmholtz.cloud).
Requests for the previous primary domain
[https://gitlab.hzdr.de](https://gitlab.hzdr.de)
are redirected.
## Which Changes Do the Users Face?
On November 11th, 2022, users have the choice between the Codebase domain and
the previous HZDR domain.
Requests to the previous HZDR domain are redirected to the Codebase domain.
Apart from that, nothing else changes for the users.
